Hong Kong Greenlights Tokenized Money Market ETFs

Bosera Asset Management, one of China's largest fund houses, and crypto firm HashKey Group are set to launch the world's first tokenized ETFs on blockchain. With approval from Hong Kong's securities regulator, the partners will tokenize money market funds (denominated in HKD and USD) as part of "Project Ensemble," a government pilot exploring real-world asset tokenization.

The tokenized ETFs, expected in April, will run on a permissioned blockchain to bridge traditional finance with Web3. This initiative – backed by Hong Kong authorities – aims to improve market efficiency and test the integration of regulated financial products on blockchain rails, marking a significant TradFi crossover in Asia's crypto hub.
